Milky Way Cake
6 Milky Ways
1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
4 eggs
½ t baking soda
1 ¼ cups buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 cup nuts (optional)
Melt candy and ½ cup margarine over low heat. Beat remaining margarine and sugar until
fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour sifted with baking soda. Add buttermilk & vanilla. Stir
well. Add candy bars and nuts. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The top will be dark.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing. Requires no icing. ( We frost with Chocolate
Satin Frosting – see recipe).
